We had some more training and signed a contract describing things that we can and can’t do. One being we must have an alcohol-free frosh week. Anyway, we had gotten out early because they wanted us to get some rest for the trip the next day. And I went to visit some of my friends and check out their house.

I woke up at 4am. I needed to pack for my day trip to Montreal. We were to meet up at a building at 6am. It was horrifingly early. I ran out of Frappucinos so I could not have my morning caffeine. But I didn’t need it. I was too pumped up and energetic to be tired. Got on the bus, and you know, most people fell asleep. So of course I decided to blast “Night & Day” by Keshia Chante - you know with my headphones of course.
It took forever to get to Montreal. Probably because there were 9 school buses and one minivan! And all of the vehicles were filled. And of course, you know, at rest stops, ALL the girls have to go to the washroom. Which means the LINES for washrooms are forever; it took nearly an hour at the rest stop. We left around 7am and arrived around 12:30pm.
Anyway, the whole idea of “Montreal” was supposed to be a surprise but of course word came out because some people are unable to keep secrets. We went to “La Ronde” which is an amusement park. It was super fun. Took lots of pictures that the first years are not allowed to see, which means I can post them on tumblr and not facebook!
Once we had arrived, three of us had lost the rest of our group so we decided to have lunch. We ended up finding the rest of our group. Went on a couple rides. ”Goliath” and “Le Splash” were really great. We met up with the rest of the orientation leaders, had dinner and then were given time to make a skit (which were performed in front of everyone else). Ours was super funny and based around Glee!
Then we drove to a bowling alley. Since we were in Montreal, everyone was legal - so most of us (those who wanted to of course - no peer pressure) drank beer. Of course I wanted to bowl, but at this point it would be too late to start a game because we’d be leaving soon (and I’d probably be to drunk to play a full game). So I found one of my friends and asked her if I could bowl once in her place. And I wasn’t wearing bowling shoes #LAWBREAKER I got umm… zero pins! LOL.
Then we of course we had to drive back and on the way back, everyone fell asleep. I, unfortunately was awake for 25.5 hours because I was too wired to sleep. But once I got back to my apartment, I literally jumped on my bed and fell asleep. It was 5:30am at this point.
*also, i have an awkward hole in my shirt. it’s actually a heart and i fixed it later. LOL
This is called “The Morning After”. Mostly because it pretty much is. BLEH. So yesterday, training took a wild break because we got to see “Existere”. This is a play that Queen’s students put on for the first years so they are know they are not alone and not so overwhelmed by everything happening. Also, the play briefly describes several different services available to all students. And on top of that, it is SUPER funny.
Then we had a nice little lunch break. And then went back to training until 4pm.
I came home, cut up my orientation shirt… which looks good in some places and other places just looks horrible. Went to Tommy’s house. Had some fun. Went to “Ale House”. Had MORE FUN. And then trekked home.
Funniest part ever. I went up two floors to my friend’s apartment to get honey because I thought I didn’t have any. As I was exiting the elevator, I dropped the honey bottle. The cover broke. I made a mess in the elevator. Felt really bad. Put the elevator on “Door Hold”. Then I ran to my apartment and got paper towels and wiped off as much as I could. Anyway, turns out I had honey in my apartment. With the same cover, so I secretly switched the two so I have the broken cover… (while drunk)
Then I cooked food, ate it and went straight to bed.
ALSO: POLICE BOX. THAT’S THE ONE I PAINTED AND STUFF
So I thought I would journalize (online) my second year’s orientation week! Today was day one. We learned the dance we are to teach the frosh graduating in 2016. The song is “Everybody Talks” by Neon Trees. It’s a great song! I love it. VERY CATCHY! If you click the link, you can watch the dance I NEED to learn ASAP!
Also we sat through presentations of alcohol poisoning and interfaculty relations/rivalry and such topics. Then we got our orientation packages (which I have yet to open). AND the two lovely bracelets you can see in the picture! The pink says “Orientation Concert 2012” and the blue says “Orientation Week 2012”.
After that we walked to Megan’s house (she is a member in our group and offered her house to host our getting to know each other party). We had trouble ordering pizza from Papa John’s and Domino’s. And then we finally ordered pizza from Pizza Pizza. These people didn’t know where the girl’s house was. And when I just searched it up on Google Maps - IT WAS PERFECTLY VISIBLE. WERE YOU THAT LAZY TO SEARCH ON GOOGLE MAPS FOR CONFIRMATION?
And we were supposed to watch “Hook” but her TV didn’t work. We ended up playing Taboo for three rounds and then the pizza arrived. And then we just ate and talked and then Joel (my leader) was kind enough to walk me home after.
And then I came home and wrote this.
*In addition, I got Nick’s number. And it’s his birthday today! LOL
